Good luck from to both of you...I hope you sell your house.

I sort of know how you feel, we are in debt also..getting those phone calls all day everyday...:biggrin_25510:....thank goodness for caller ID..

We are seriously considering going back OTR, we made good money. It is a big committment but the road is always calling, once it is in your blood it never leaves...My s/o has a good job but the pay sucks, he spent 5 mths in training for this job and therefore it makes it harder for him.

Just gotta keep telling ourselves..."it is gonna get better, it is gonna get better..":biggrin_25523:

OTR driver pay has been battered pretty badly in the past year or so. Most companies have instituted pay cuts of 5 to 10% across the board. Might want to reconsider jumping back into the fray right now.

Foreclosure? That's not good...but hold tight, don't lose your faith...most of the familys across the country are living the same problem, at least you guys have a job and can reverse this scenario soon...keep heads up and going!
    Peace!

Yeah I hear you..and I know you are right. Its not something we plan on jumping into without doing some serious research to find the right company - we might not even do it, at least not right now. Who knows.

At least one of us is working, I just just cannot seem to get a break when it comes to work - I am qualified but never hear back. My MVR, DAC and Criminal is clean, I just don't understand but I think is has to do with my gender esp when there are so many male drivers out of work here.

I could probably get OTR but not for me right now...so I guess I'll just keep at it...

sacred ... I understand about the finding work part... When I was off the road, I applied for numerous local trucking jobs. I have over 3 years of OTR driving experience and clean MVR, DAC... So I went back to school thinking I would get an edge but that didn't pay off either.

Thanks everyone for the encouragement. It is really hard to see if we can pull out of it, even though I know we will, it just takes time. I do have faith and hope in God so it will happen, just not when I want it to.. LOL

Its funny you should say that CB, I have been thinking about going back to school to try and get into a different career but I have been reluctant to add to my debt....from what you are saying I think I will just keep applying and believe something will come through.

It will get better for you guys, you are both working and so the money is coming, you might not be able to save your house then again you could get lucky, but at least you are working and you are starting the climb back up...more than a lot of people can say.

So getting this thread back on track, how is LS going..? How is their appointment making/setting going...??

Well CB, I certainly hope your adventures with LS is improving. My hubby and I are going to start with them as well. We live near Joplin and was curious approx how much it was in expenses to get to Lakeland, and did they reimburse you at orientation for the gas? We will be in orientation March 1. Just hope we can afford the drive down there or we are going have to take the bus :biggrin_2556:, lol. Then worried where they might send us for the truck, lol. It's all ok with us! Just hoping we are making a good choice. I know we wont get great miles, but I do hope it proves to be a better company than where we are now. Happy adventures to you both and any additional info you can provide would be appreciated! :)
