Yes it was I20, I went by on thursday moning. I can't remember the mile stick but if the 193 is correct then it was just east of Big Spring, TX. I have a drop in Sweetwater and then in Big Spring every Thurs. morning. I have always wondered obout the I10/ I20 corridor because I see alot of Landstar running across there. Is that a decent lane?

It's a major east west coridors. I prefer I20, the dot doesn't work it as hard as I10.

That is a Century. Gazoo has a Columbia. The easy way to tell the difference is the headlight/marker light assembly.

Sorry, I didn't read to the end of the thread to see that you guys already covered this one.lol

But is it a good corridor Landstar?
-
I ran denver, albuquerque, el paso, ft worth, all this week and would say it must be a decent corridor for landstar because of all the trucks I saw running on 20 mostly southbound. unless they were all running real cheap but I doubt it. -
Those areas never were worth a #### for me with a flat bed. And if you look at the available van freight on the load board I know they were running cheap. -
WOW! That Columbia looks exactly like my company truck. Creepy.

On another note.....
In June, I will hit a year OTR. I know that is Landstar's minimum for leasing on, but how realistic is it? I have no tickets, 1 accident that was not my fault (a car blew off an on ramp into my right front wheel) and would really, really like to get away from the company crud and be more involved in my own destiny.
I have heard they are getting pretty picky when it comes to leasing on new BCO's.
Also, do you need a truck first, or do you get qualified as a driver first and then get a truck? Kind of the chicken or the egg question. -
You can get qualified before ou buy a truck but you need your long form physical so you need to get it from your co if they will give it. And you need your haz mat.
They are super picky on Safety but your accident sounds like it is within there requirements if it shows up on your mvr like you steted it here. the requirements are on the website
