Doesn't really matter. I'm happy. I got $2,300 and a LS driver got $1,679 for the exact same load. At $1.65 for ALL miles I'll take all the leftover freight they have to offer.
Landstar drivers get less

As long as your happy with the loads that a BCO won't haul because it's too cheap I'm happy also.broncrider Thanks this.
-
honestly, i dont care what you, or any broker makes
as long as the load meets MY standerds, I'll hual it
the load in question is no dought a broker board load......but if i could make a profit on it, yep i'd hual itWorking Class Patriot Thanks this. -
I completely disagree with this. Sure, that's how it SHOULD work. but in reality the way it works is if the LS agent gets a load that pays real well (above normal) it never sees the LS board and it never sees a LS truck. It goes STRAIGHT to an outside load board where they can advertise it for whatever cheap rate they can find a sucker to haul it for and pocket the rest. If they put it on a LS truck they are capped at what they can take. 9% or something if I remember right.
I had this fact proven to me. There is an Agent in TX with good paying CA freight. it never hits the board. I lucked into one because I had another load of theirs cancell on me after I deadheaded 300 miles for it so I tore into the guy because he ever called to tell me. He ended up giving me one of those loads. When I loaded it the shipper told me that guy does all their freight and i'm the first actual Landstar truck he's ever seen -
I never thought about that but it does make sense.

Yea I have heard all the storys about high paying loads going to outside carriers, most are BS storys. The reason is if its high $$ load 99.9% of the time it must go on a L/S truck per customer request. Your idea of high paying freight is what most BCO'S won't even look at. Again your just look'n at the leftovers.

O/O's can pump LS for more.....sometimes it works...sometimes not....
The thing about most of my LS board loads is that they have been to places where a spread shouldn't go to at all......

x2. I have both accounts for ITS and a good thing to know is while signed on the the broker site you can't see what other brokers have listed price wise (on the rare occasion they actually put a price)
That's why you'll see one load listed for say $1,000 and another broker has the same load for $900. My biggest complaint with almost every broker on sites like ITS is put the #### description of what the load is. If it's lumber put it on there, if it's steel put steel it's not that hard. It would cut the number of worthless calls by 50%.Working Class Patriot Thanks this. -
I've hauled many many load for LS. The posted rate on ITS is what I get. There is NO percentage held back.

well you are more then welcome to look up the lane match results out of Killgore TX. You will see the agent and with some more looking you will find they post almost nothing on the board. I had the agent name but it's been a year so I cant remember it. But i'm sure the info is there for you to see. I don't have access to the board anymore.
And we're talking van freight here. So ya, the rates are lower then flats or any of the heavy haul or specialized. But for van rates these were double those of the scraps you were seeing on the board at that time.
doesn't really affect me in the least what you think of it. It's my experience. I was completely disappointed in LS, I really wanted it to work.
