MedicineMan I get it now, you failed here at L/S so now you expect me to believe that now that your gone your hauling all the high dollar loads you couldn't get at L/S while you were here. The agents also know BS when they hear it. Perhaps thats why you couldn't make it at L/S.

this pizzing match should be interesting.
-
No pizzing match. I know how the system works at L/S and people telling their version of it don't help the folks that may want to lease here some day. All most always it is some one who failed at L/S. I am here because its the best deal and the most money of any place I have tried. Plus no Dispatchers.
-
You are correct sir. L/S requires one to think and act as a business owner. There are those who are unable to do that.
-
not really. You should know by now anytime anyone say anything about LS these guys all come out of the woodwork.
everyone knows when you've been at LS for 20 years it's the best company in the world. When the new guys come in and you don't know anyone you can't survive on the scraps they toss you utill you can make contacts. I was doing okay when I left but ya, I do alot better now -
Any time I post my truck available near Corpus Christi I always get a call from Landstar and it's the same routine every time. Show up at the base and make sure your there at 7am. They want all the trucks at the same time. Usually I'm the only non LS driver. I get paid really well and it's always a long run.

I used to haul a few decent paying loads out of the red river ammo depot or whatever it's called. Paid good but were always shorter inner TX runs.
Also I left in september. Early last year was the worst rates they had ever seen at landstar. I don't dislike landstar, they have some problems in how they let agents operate like I mentioned. I also had my rate cut on a load from TX to Portland after the fact. they said the load didn't pay what it was advertised as so they just took $400 of my money which left me essentially running it for free. And because I didn't take a screen capture of the load page with the rate I booked the load at they sided with their agent. Thats the one thing that did really upset me -
Ok...Now it's time for someone to brag that they always get $3/m light loads....
Why should this thread be any different?....
-
lol...No kidding. I make about $1.65 for all miles when the month out is done.
-
LS is obvioulsy where it's at, I'm leasing on! Can't wait to yank that sweet dry van around for 85cpm, pay for my plates, ifta, and get 7 days to delved that 900 mile load. Sounds like paradise to me, I honestly don't get it.
