Landstar is getting cheap.

I'm on a landstar load now. Got my full daily rate to pickup today at 11am. Can't deliver till 7am. A whopping Total of 62 miles.

I don't work for Landstar. Like anything you have to dig for it. The best stuff is not always the stuff at the top of the list.

 

It's okay li'l buddy. We'll still getcha loads and money.

I was pretty happy here overall until this thread started.
I mean if I didn't have to watch Dad, I'll bet I could make 150 to 180 year.
Still make 100 to 110.
This load pay $2200 after their cut. 980 miles. Weighs 597 pounds.

The load back will pay about $400 more after their cut, but it's like a massive 45 mile DH, and picks up, pre loaded, the same afternoon I deliver this one, Friday.

But will involve one extra day due to weekend.

Probably just quit after that. F 'em.

Funny you mention that. Lots of people think they are getting 100%, when in reality they have no idea what they are leaving on the table.

Just last week I took a load, agent said I have 2 of these if you know anyone. $2000 gross on 500 miles. My cut is 1510 after the cut. I get there to load, and a Owner Op with his own authority backs in beside me, he is getting the other load. He gets out and starts popping off, I don't see how you make any money giving up 25%. O couldn't help myself, so I asked, you get that from agent ???. Yep, and I'm getting 100%. How much is that I asked? $1000 he says, and you are only getting $750.

I couldn't help myself after he kept popping off. I had to show him the email proving to him that LS made $1000 off his DA and I was getting 510 more than he was. He got quiet and turned blood red. Funny, I didn't hear any more 100% comments though.
