Reefer too much risk. You own your own trailer right? How do you, or what do you do, to keep the monkeys from destroying it during loading / unloading?
-
I got into Reefer for the too much money over the too much risk, you can't have cheese, milk, meat etc sit forever waiting for a cheap truck.
I'm currently renting a trailer, see how it goes approach for a bit. -
Trailer go to California? Expensive? I'd have to get A LOT to fool with reefer. When I did that local / distribution gig, I'd see the line haul guys come in, something be wrong, they reject the whole load. F that. Sometimes just cause of how it was stacked, plus the lumpers, and the insides of ours just took a beating.
I used to think " What if that was your trailer? " -
Yes and yes and yes reefer sucks but the money doesn't.
-
Lol. That reefer is a lot more than my truck payment then. Won't fight you for that market. There's not even close to being that much more money in it, for me anyway.
-
Just did Rochester, MN to Kansas City for $2500, from there $8 a mile load to Chicago $4000. Both 1 and 1.
Doubt I could pull close to that off with a Van -
Enjoy. You don't have to worry about me taking that freight lol.hey_serg Thanks this.

There's more than enough for everybody these days, expect maybe for flease operators. lol

What goes up, eventually comes down. If in the good times you operate like they are the lean times, you can make some real headway.
spyder7723 and Dave_in_AZ Thank this.
