How many of you are using the Landstar Mobile App and what are you using it to do?

I use it for status update and agent lookup occasionally. The search is useless. I wouldn't even use status update if the prehistoric IT guys at LS would let status update work with Opera browser, or any other browser but IE. Newsflash IT department, Microsoft and IE is dead in an Apple/Android mobile world. The search is useless as it doesn't allow recent loads (I don't need to see the load that a Little John agent was merely quoting 4 days ago). I also don't want to relogin every time I answer or use the phone. My .02.

Apparently you're having better luck than I am. I can't even sign in to the mobile ap, and as far as status updates, I cannot do it on any browser, including IE. In fact, when I sign in using IE, none of the links work at all. I need to use Chrome for taking trip advances, because that feature only works on Chrome. I have all of the newest browsers, so there shouldn't be a problem, unless the IT people aren't keeping up with the changes.
As far as updates go, I call them in to the advisors when I'm empty and looking for a load or home and want to be left alone. Otherwise, I don't do the updates.
It would be nice if the IT people would get their stuff together and fix these problems.

I will as soon as I get a chance to. I'm having enough "fun" just learning the ropes so far. I only got home for the first time Friday night, now off again early tomorrow. I'm hoping to get a break this week for the required training I have to do. I'll try then, hopefully Tuesday or Wednesday morning.

I use the app mainly for doing my "Delivery Report" status. Log in is the same as my log in for LS Mobile.
It's a bit clunky and cumbersome, but like everything else LS IT has brought out over the years, it will be improved upon and streamlined.

Just in case anyone else is having problems with IE9, you have to put landstaronline.com in compatability mode or it won't work. Not only is IT stuck on Microsoft, but they aren't even keeping up. For a company with 8,000 or so drivers that use this interface daily, most of them mobile, our site and app should be slicker than a sheet of black ice.

    LSAgentOZR and grizzly Thank this.

Couldn't agree more. Especially when we supposedly spend $25 million a year on technology.

Must be spending it on high tech hookers. LS technology sucks. I like to say they are on the cutting ### of technology. :biggrin_25511:
