I have about 20 straps and 40 moving blankets if we need them I do quite a bit of that kind of stuff and restaurant equipment ... it pays pretty good but the blankets are kinda pain in the ### .... until I see what they pay me lol

Can't wait to qualify for Schindigers:D. Getting ready for CDL school in the Phoenix area. Going to get my one year in and turn OO. Thinking Ferrymiller or Magnum PI for starting out. No way would I ever go to Lunarstar.

The questions is are you getting paid extra to unload those tires, if not go to sleeper birth & then you will have more HOS to play with.

now i logged off duty when people are unloading the truck and I am sitting around or in the truck , i am unable to log into the sleeper berth because when I am in the sleeper i cant reach the elog and if I log in the sleeper berth from the seat i am falsifying my log ..... kinda a catch 22 ......... as far as the question of whether Schneider or landstar is better ... my opinion is if you are good dealing with people you probably be better off at landstar if you are not and you would rather do everything over the Internet with no personal contact schnieder is the best for you ..... there is no rule that you must log all time at shippers or reciever on duty if you're not helping unload ...... as far as saying that you are not relieved of all duty regarding the truck you are never relieved of all duty pertaining to the truck unless its at a company yard ...... if you're dispatcher calls you when your on your 10 hr break then legally you are not able to answer the phone or talk to him you could answer and you can tell him I am on my 10 hour break and relieved of all duty pertaining to the truck and load if you wish to talk to me catch me on duty ( try that and let me know if it works) or if your booking your own loads you cannot even look for loads unless you go log in on duty because both are regarding the truck ........ common sense takes over at some point and if you guys want to log everything on duty and waste your 69 .5 hours ( i used to have 70 hours but the elog cheats me out of around a half hour a week waiting for it to catch up ) go ahead

Shouldn't the act of changing your duty status be considered ON DUTY?
It is an official work related activity isn't it?

Like when you are OFF DUTY and go to eat, and shower, then come back to the truck to sleep and log SLEEPER BERTH, that 30 seconds you spend changing status is an official act and should be required to be ON DUTY.

Landstar you don't need to enjoy people.

You need to enjoy dealing with the wtf tarded. Especially at Landstar itself.
