Btw, this is pretty consistent for what I've been doing this whole year, especially since last winter.

I'd say that depends on the BCO. I'd also say it depends on your insurance costs, which ours is pennies, and fuel cost.

But yea, I don't wanna burst your bubble or anything, and I don't even own my own trailer, we can do that and more.

No. For dry van with their trailer it's 65% of the posted line haul plus 100% of the fuel surcharge. Accessorials are either 65% or 100% depending on what they are. Tolls and unloading pay 100%. Stops pay 65%. And so on.

If you have your own trailer it's 72% instead of 65%.

This has been discussed before. Some people you just can't argue with.

Why do you have to ruin it for everyone? We were getting into what the real math is, and all these guys that have not the slightest clue were doing a splendid job.

Landstar takes too much of your profit . Work with a smaller honest owner operator company

Well, I'm about to write a check to pay off my 2016 dry van I bought new 2 years ago for 32k.

My insurance is around $7,500 a year and my fuel costs are pretty competitive with any mega.

    What else am I missing?

Any dry van BCO running for Landstar in Oregon & Washington, feel free to share your all miles rate over $3.00 a mile and I'll definitely consider joining up ;-)

Especially if my insurance cost would only be "pennies". I'll even run my own trailer. However, I insist on getting home at 20 to 22 days a month.

    I'm all ears! LOL
