hello, we are coming to the end of our lease with swift( 8 months) and will hopefully be able to come up with the balloon payment so that we can purchase the truck. We (team drive w/ girlfriend) are looking to explore our options, as you can imagine we are clueless to the whole loadboard deal. we live in jacksonville. We are no stranger to hard work, sometimes 3 months out. Anyways ran into a solo driver who claimed he made 125k last year take home with LS running dry vans.Based on what ive read it seems possible, correct? As his solo amount is more than double what we made togeather the idea of jumping ship certainly seems attractive. Kinda scared about the loadboard idea but willing to give it a go, just looking for some feedback, how aggressive do u need to be? obviously the thought of SOME cheap freight dosent scare us as thats what we do on a daily basis now 93+48fsc, Any thoughts and advise are appreciated. Please dont flame us for being suckers and working for so little,we were co. drivers and needed to freedom to go home whenever needed as my mom was ill. Anyways that being said i look forward to any help trk is a 2010 kw t2000 with610,000 miles lifetime avg fuel mileage is almost 7.3mpg

But with ''VANS'',it is hell...And future wanna be BCO's need to know this...We in the ''Van Division'' owe it to the future Bco's to tell the truth and give them correct ''exact'' numbers.Just like future step deck guys and gals.
We can not mix the two divisions and compare. One is an Apple and the other is an Orange. -

I am closing out my days of the ''forum'' world little by little.I do not participate that much anymore. To many opinions, rose colored glasses and flat out lies...LMAO..Not to mention i am very busy working and i do not have time to be an Arm Chair Quaterback like so many are.
Last year as a solo i made 150 k with L/S..After all deductions there is not alot of money left.Do not let anyone fool you.Everyone and thier brother has there hands in your pockets, including Landstar.I am here for the freedom, thats it.If i wanted the ''big'' money i would not be here at Landstar, that is for sure.
I will post my last trip soon...You acn check it over.. -
What is a round trip tow away? It picks up in French Camp, CA and goes to Lockwood, CA then back to French Camp. Thanks for the info!
