Also, just because a load does not require a team, there is no reason that a team can't run it if you can move the unload to a suitable time frame. One of the things to ask the Agent, BEFORE, booking the load.

I have been sending out emails and cold calling agents that run a lot of freight out of areas I will be in (used lane match). How long does it take before I get a "hit" and get a good paying load that is not on the board? I have only been doing this for two and a half weeks but I am trying my best to get good freight that doesn't see the board.

We are still with Express1, not self dispatch, del date was set for friday am...we r still sitting in laredo... Landstar has Got to be better then this! We talked to several drivers while here at TA and as soon as we get back north, we are returning this trailer and leaving to Landstar!

Every BCO I talked to says stay away from Laredo.

herfinharry and Dewey120 Thank this.

Thats becuse they are not willing to make the effort it takes to be productive coming out of Laredo.

The biggest problem, that I see in Laredo, is people pulling company vans, doing d&h, getting stuck while waiting for an empty trailer, which can take days. Own trailer, no problem.

The prob this company has is loads crossing. We are sitting with an mty, just loads not crossing border.
