what ya do is unhook from your trailer and turn the truck around so you can use the catwalk. I always keep a fold up lawn chair handy for just such occasions.
no beer though. just a ice cold cook and a good long cigar.

I've been reading this site for a long while and have to admit that I am building doubt about weather I will make it or not....

I have been a company driver for about 30 years and just really want to own my own.....I may have waited too long but this is sorta a bucket list thing now.....

Is there someone at L/S who will work with you and kinda guide you along until you can fly on your own?

I am a single guy and can move anywhere or run anywhere....I am originally from Philadelphia and don't mind running the northeast....

Just need a little encouragement to make the plunge......

or should I forget about it ???

I wouldn't forget about it unless there is something going on that's actually causing you to loss money and not be able to get by. I don't think landstar runs that way but I don't run with them, at least not yet. it might be easier said than done but your best bet is to put your doubts in the dust and roll that truck along with some good paying freight in the trailer. I sent you a message garstein, hope it puts you at ease a little.

Only you can answer that question. There is nobody over here to hold your hand which is a downside to new o/o but a plus for experienced ones. If you have a business mindset and treat it like a business from the very beginning, you'll be better off than a lot of o/o. Develop a business plan and stick to it.

There's a top notch agent there in Tyler. TYL agency. One of the agents who always returns my calls, and really tries to get me the load I'm looking for when I'm there. Highly recommended.
