There is an attitude out there that everyone has heard, "nothing bad is gonna happen to me. Because I watch what I do."

Yeah....That is what they all say.

Shoot I said it back when I thought I was a billy bad butt truck driver.

But it is this attitude is the reason why we have CSA2010. And if the unemployment line is even longer because of it, more power to unemployment. It is finally time that the good safe drivers get rewarded for being safe drivers. Yes "crap happens", but its these so called "outlaw" truckers is why we are in this situation.

    I'm all for CSA2010!!!
    I'm all for EOBRs!!!!

Why? Because it makes our roads safer.

I'm not trying to tell you what to do, but with your support of EOBR's and the CSA2010...You really should take that Clint Eastwood avitar off your profile.

It just doesn't seem to fit you.

That's funny, I know alot of folks around Beorne, Fredricksburg, Kerrville, Hillsboro, Waco, Temple, & Sanora...And every single one of them, even the women, are hard workers......

    What happened to you?

I know exact what I'm saying. And I know exact what I'm doing. I don't need a rule to tell me how to do my job. I don't need a politician (especially someone who's never driven a truck FOR A LIVING, to tell me anything about safety.

And I darn sure don't need someone who drives a truck, telling me what makes the roads safer.

You can believe all the safety propaganda you want. But I'm not giving up my personal liberties for anyone.

"If you give up liberty for security, you wind up with neither"

From what I see an a daily basis, you could remove all trucks from all roads and they would continue to become more dangerous every single day. So much for that theory.

Don't count your chickens too soon. If these guys keep pushing for more regulations on us, there might not be any "big trucks" on the road in the near future. I'd hate to drive a delivery truck from the rail station to the reciever.

Could you imagine being blamed for being late? LOL, a week on a train, you pick it up and deliver it in an hour, and you get blamed for it being late.

I'm doing exactly that now. Though after waiting a month or two for their stuff, people are always glad to see me pull up. Now if it just paid worth a ####. And was a bit less hazardous. I do believe my toe was broken today. I didn't stop working to check it. Ah well, on to the next company. Or maybe back to the last one.
