Heh, yeah when I went through it I called them after 2 weeks they said still gathering info. Ok, cool. A week later I called back, same thing. I said what info are you looking for? We havent heard from your current employer on if you have had a years experience in ice and snow in the past 2 or 3 years whatever it was. IM FROM MINNESOTA!

I tell them to call the terminal direct, gave them the phone number and told them how to look it up if they wanted to make sure I was really giving them the correct number, told them to ask for city dispatch. I was a line haul driver but both of the city dispatchers had been my supervisor at 1 time or another. 20 mins later they call me back, welcome to Landstar (in effect)...

I did it myself - both trucks. I never put the "star" on it (the logo). All you need is the company name and MC number.

Same with the truck number. I dont think anyone actually does it in orientation. The only thing they did there to the trucks was put the ELD in. And they might not even do that now, I cant say. Its been going on 6 years now for me (and I think Dave is in the same boat since we both got our 5 year watches last summer).

Thank you. I would rather put it on myself. My doors are a little scarred from the previous owner and then of course my bouts with putting decals on and removing them. I'd like to cover the scarring best I can myself. Tried to call my field operations contact and no dice there. Do they give you the license plate in orientation or should it have come in the package with the decals?

Edit: Never mind about the plate. I found the temporary registration and IFTA stickers. Imagine the plate will be sent to the house before the temp registration expires.

I read a post on some Landstar page that is older, but it said Landstar BCOs get 10 points per gallon at Pilot Flying J. Is that true? Or did that end long ago?

That's way old. Point at each until you fuel enough for each places accrued bonuses.

Landstarve didn't have a very good discount with PFJ when i started. It was basically $0.25 across the board. Which wasn't jack.

There was a month when PFJ gave us 25 points a gallon. I didn't even know it, and just happened to fuel when i was on empty at the one in Phoenix.

Got fuel some other place as well.

So I'm getting coffee, couple burritos, gal says," Wanna use your points?"

Sure. I'm thinking i got a few bucks. Had like $187.00 in points lol.

I was going," Did i win something?"

Bought my Blue Tiger Bluetooth with those piints.

Most of the time TA / Petro will be the cheapest.

Varies greatly by where you're at in the country.

Always check the fuel app. Don't ever just take it for granted, or you will be tossing fiddys out the window.
