I've got the omnitrac eld. I don't have any of the special conditions anywhere, off duty or otherwise. Unless their version is off duty and remarks bobtail personal use.

I have a friend that uses it all the time to drive home loaded, or after unloading. Uses it to try getting further. He's going to get it up the backside when he gets caught. But he doesn't run for LS either. He's a company driver someplace else.

Your convenience v.s. potential damage to their CSA score?

CSA score preservation will prevail every time.

Don't like it? Run under the numbers of somebody else.

    There are.

There's still a HUGE number of log violations.

And new people trying to make millions of dollars.

It depends. Frankly I do it all the time, but you have to do it right. Landstar had a purge of people using PC about 2 or 3 years ago that lasted 6 months. A few drivers got caught at scale running on PC under a load and they "suspended" people that had been using it regularly from using it for 6 months (I was one of them). Even though I had continuously asked the log dept if I was using it correctly (the last such occasion was 2 weeks before I got "suspended") and was assured I was.

Edit: I was actually at a scale under PC in Indiana once, but I was empty at the time and the only thing Landstar said about it then was that I needed to go "on duty" while I was inspected at the scale, which I passed. But that was like 4 years ago now.

After that, there hasnt been an issue (or at least I havent had an issue). Use it at your own risk.

Landstar isn't going to say a word to you about using PC.

I tell guys coming in.....you're an adult, or at least perceived to be one by your birth year.

You get 2 hours a day of PC.

PC 14 hours a week if you want. Landstar is not going to say one word to you.

Until you get caught, or something bad happens.

Then it might be your ###.

One other thing i tell people is there's no place to hide here.

Whatever you did, wherever you did it pre-Landstarve, and you could pin your #### on someone else...........this is your wake up call.

    You are accountable.
