No it stays all the way back. It's a slider, but that's where it stays. I'm a 242" WB.
    The APU adds some too.

2 years is good for batteries?

I'm almost 12k on my steers empty. I usually run between 12-12,500 on my steers but my tires are rated for it. I can go as high as 13,000 on my steers (tires are rated for more) but I've never been close to that.

I've never tested the waters going over. California, Indiana, Kentucky, the book says 12K, no exceptions given, and I go through California a lot, so that's where I stay.
My axle is only rated for 12K anyway.

With a 12k axle I'd keep it there also. Lol. I run all those states & never get a green light in KY on my pre pass. Never had an issue. Which book is that in? I've only seen regs on the steers & drives.

Well I'm going to deliver in a high freight area.
I booked my load back to Arizona last week.
It may have to be a round trip, and the agent doesn't have the paper yet ( Monday ), so it's not on me in the Landstar system.
I do a lot for this agent, money is fine, no worries about any of that.

But like I said high freight area.

I think I've had no less than 50 agents call me in the last 48 hours lol.

I'll be glad when Monday gets here.

You can manually change your location and date of availability on the Status Update screen. That will stop the broker calls. It keeps them from wasting their time as well as not annoying you.

Just don't ever put yourself out of service. You used to be able to switch yourself in and out of service, but now if you put yourself out of service you have to call Compliance to get switched back in.

Well, after LS cut, all the overhead, fuel, truck payment, $200 in the maintenance kitty, made $3,889.63 last week. ( Before taxes )

But I'm still told I'm working on the cheap.

Guess I'll just continue to work cheap and be a happy idiot.
