Some people are in it to make money. Some people are in it to make everybody else money. And make any excuse about that to feel better. Over-complicating something that really ain't complex.

Just re-reading this thread...you cant convince someone who have been taught by Schneider that you can actually make more $, and that SNI is not the be all end all. And, that SNI have very little of the freight in the industry as a whole....

67 percent of a dollar forty a mile yikes ha ha ha . I dig the landstar drivers that brag on a two dollar a mile rate when they're getting 1.30 of that lol . My advice is get a day job with benefits and run a cashed out truck part time locally , you'll live longer with less stress ..

9000 landstar drivers all competing for broker-dealer double broker freight. Smh. I used to see freight out of Miami for $.90 a mile. Keep in mind you get 67% of that. Underload notes the broker would write Pretty good for Miami. LOL. So you drop $200 in fuel to deadhead into Georgia to pick up double brokered Knight transportation paper loads going to Houston just to get the #### out of there. At least that's how it was in 2010. If the rates have gone up or freights better I'm definitely listening. I don't remember a single driver that didn't ##### on the BCO board about rates

If you go to Miami and cry about 90 cents a mile outbound offers you went down there too cheap. At least with LS you can deadhead to GA or beyond. With SNI, unless something has changed, you must reload in FL. What kind of choice is that for a businessman allegedly calling the shots?

Sounds like forced dispatch , which makes the contractor an employee. I get what you're saying about balancing the freight rates but the way the lanes were back then, the good freight came out of the Midwest and went east and was total crap going back west, a dollar 70 a mile was about average for me out of Jersey down to Florida. Of course I know some guys have hook ups I just went off the load board. I heard they stopped doing Christmas trees because they were jacking up their trailers, and those paid $5-$7000 even into Texas
