Of all those loads, the agent I got the Monroe NC load from ive been doing that load consistenly for almost 3 years.....he couldn't get it covered because of the stop and driver unload.....so Ive done It for years....and the load to ky was on the board and the load out of KY was not. Another agent that ive worked with plenty and I let her know when im in the area. That same agent also gave me the Roanoke to Ga load also......the Ga to NC load I didn't think I was gonna get cause the rate was good and it had been on the board for 2 days when I called about it.......someone on here is correct when saying yeah you can develop relationships with agents and make it a lil easier but strictly running off the board is very lucrative also...sometimes you just get tired of looking for a load....

Can't we just agree that Landstar is good for some just as SNI is good for others. It's like those other Landstar BCO's I talk with out here and they refer to Landstar as Landcrap. I ask them why don't they just lease on with someone else or get their own authority. They always come back saying overall it is a good company to move freight for but nothing like it was 10 years ago.
I survived a lease purchase with CRE so now everything seems easy. I enjoy being self dispatched and just today I negotiated $300 in layover pay when the broker first threw out $200. Will I be at Landstar for my entire trucking career? I guess time will tell.russellkanning, milskired and Jar-Head Thank this. -
Move said ^^ a few times in this threadCanadianVaquero Thanks this.

Good thing we aren't at a bar talking about what company is better. Seems like some people are ready to throw some punches. I will just sit quietly and order another pitcher.
russellkanning and milskired Thank this. -
I want to screenshoot the week I had a few weeks ago but I'm typing from my phone but it will put that SNI driver post to shame, also 3 of the loads were drop & hooks.
Yes, that's the Ying & The Yang over here dealing with idiot agents but that doesnt mean anything one bit. Your goal should to be one day an independent. No different from dealing with Brokers if you're an independent. Again you sound bitter and you're nit picking.
To the OP, I have nothing against the Orange, if it works for you & the other guys that's cool. But we've laid out so many things that LS can do that the Orange cant. Not in one post have I said anything negative about Schneider Choice. I went back through the whole thread and still dont get what you mean by the LS guys not providing you with the info you asked. From Fortyclock, Nikembre, & others gave you the great info.
Another thing, yes LS inspections are strict and some shops can be pains. But I can tell you now it can save you money In the long run by those guys being so strict. By being a former SNI company driver, I wouldn't trust a d*** one of SNI mechanics to inspect my truck for an DOT inspection.CanadianVaquero Thanks this. -
Jarhead, I believe what you looked at on here is a new option that F2F has for O/Ops. R/C is leased directly to F2F and is not provided anything by covenant. I want to say the actually all in F2F guys get 80% or 85%? IIRC that is what Bill told me a while ago, unless that was to pull a flat and not a van, either way, I do agree, CANT WE ALL JUST GET ALONG???? LOL
Jar-Head Thanks this. -
And for the record, if LS ever canned me for something stupid & I didnt feel comfortable being an Independent yet, SNI Choice would be the first place I would apply too.
russellkanning and bigNATURE Thank this. -
Ya I know now to avoid the TA in Dallas for my 120 day. They always seemed to find a $600-$800 repair. One time the tech said I needed new brakes on one of my drive axles. He goes to lunch so I ask another tech about it and he says those brakes look almost brand new.
I always do my 120 day at the Petro in Ontario California. The guy who does it is cool and never had any problems there. One time I had a chaffed airline so he said he will fix it before he completes his inspection so I don't get charged the fee.russellkanning and hawkjr Thank this. -
Yea just like certain agents, you learn what places to avoid. That's why I always get mine done at the same place each time..
CanadianVaquero Thanks this. -
