RC I respect your opinion and agree that we (Choice IC's) are locked into a closed rate system. For me, I find that the availability of freight and the ability to dictate where and when I run outweighs the rest of it. I know that I could be hauling freight that pays a ton more, but at the same time I do not have all of the leg work in finding that freight. I know before I run into a market what is available to get me out of it and if it pays well enough for me to turn a profit. If there is nothing in the market I don't haul the freight in. Do I see myself running this forever? ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! I have been quietly following along with F2F and I must say that BBB has an awesome program there. Glad to see you clear up the misconception I had about the difference between F2F and CES. I also thought that it had gone to CES exclusively.

I just think people hate mega carriers. If someone says they work for a mega carrier and they are satisfied with that company, the bashing starts. Sni choice programs its plain and simple. There is no additional adding to your settlement, what you see is what you get. There is no specialize freight, its all general freight. I gurantee if a smaller company business module was like sni, it would be less bashing. I've been with sni for 3yrs, if i was not making any money, i would have bailed out long time ago. To me it dont make since to be leased out to someone and you have to call on brokers. If, thats the case i would reinstate my authority. If i worked for LS for 3yrs i would be saying the same thing. Its all about attitude and profit. just my .02
russellkanning Thanks this. -
We've been around for a little while and made some first rate connections outside of brokers. Stuff that anyone with one truck and authority with much higher expenses could only dream of. You can go into detail explaining the benefits and value in it til blue in the face and all many could still see afterwards was "getting 100% is better" very short sighted vision.

One thing I do remember though back some time ago on here was OZR(Adam) the LS agent had said, always always always ask for more money because 9 out of 10 times you will get it. That was including the inside LS guys not just in general.Road Boss Thanks this.

As far as I know he does not lease or sell any trucks, it was just a thought which it stated in that thread your referring to.

Don't you put any money away for say PMs, tires, breakdowns, a new truck, and the list goes on? Or do you just put it all in your bank for yourself? Also is that "Net" that you speak of pre or post tax? I don't consider it net unless the taxes are taken out.
