You're numbers are off, but good explanation. Dry van is 65% of linehaul, 73% for flatbed and 75% flat specialized.

 

Well they called my employer for employment verification so now waiting on the next step. Got my hazmat on the license just waiting on the hard copy to come in and my physical will be on the 2nd of april. The title has came in. Its a little hard to get things done on the road.

 

My first official day on the job! Picked up the trailer this morning with some minor problems and going after a load for tomorrow.


Feels good after the 2.5 month wait.

 

I know what you mean about trying to do this from the road. I think after this run I'm going to call it quits just so I can finish up with all the loose ends and move on to LS. I am SO ready!

Well after 5 months of "get this" "need that" "wrong this" could you please send a copy of that and that is the wrong fax number. We here not there. I finally going to oretanion on Tuesday 4-3. When they said it take a long time to get on at Landstar they mean it! Very bad process that needs to be cleaned up. Never talk to the same person. Take two or three days for return phone call on any question. And on and on and on

Enough about all that. My question is after talking to many poeple mostly BCO's I just want to make sure Landstar is a good fit for me. I run from MI to FL weekly. Out wed back home sat. It pay's me $1.44 a mile with my trailer 53 van. This clear money or 3400 a week. I like this run but the company I haul for. They are ruining my trailer by putting holes in the roof. If my truck goes in the shop I miss the whole week cuase the load leave MI only on Tueday. Question is can I do better at Landstar?

 

I will be faxing most. Of my paper work on monday. They e mailed the additional documents so i can. Get them printed out on sunday and faxed on monday. I wont get the physical until 2 pm so i will fax that on tuesday. Also got to see the local irs about the 2290. I will try and get things wrapped up by the 15th and maybe ready by may 1. My recruiter told me the last two items to do will be the annual inspection and drug test. My question is how do i get the truck to the annual inspection without it being registered when i will be going through land star for the plates. Any thoughts?
