It's a tough call. You can fail at Landstar if you don't know what you are doing. If you have business sense and can make sound business decisions you can do well. Just about everyone I ever met that failed at Landstar revealed themselves in a brief conversation. They just weren't smart enough or competent enough to figure it out. Good luck.

Jump man! Jump into it, with LS it sounds redundant but you pretty much have to be a failure to not make it, now if you expect to run 250-300 miles runs so you can be home with mama every night then you may fail but if you run with the flow of the freight take as little time as possible off then you can make it work, watch you expenditures once ALL THAT $$$ starts rolling in, it is hard to hold back from buying that new shiny CB in the lighted case at the T/S but hold on to it so you have running money when the freight gets slow. Go for it man, with the advise you have found here and from all you know jump Jump Hard and don't look back, I have owned my own businesses and have done well and had these butterflies in my stomach, When I sign a contract for an office that is 50% of my total revenue but I jumped into it and never looked back, I am glad I did because in a short time that office I didn't know I could pay for got to small so I grew into another office and so forth. So JUMP MAN!! Let us know how it goes, you will look back at these post and laugh when if you want to, you have 5 trucks running under you! you making a percentage of what they do... GO FOR IT!!

Ok reach way down in the middle of your guts and pull out what you need to get this done, You will look back and laugh at yourself as you enjoy the finer things in life that dictating your own destiny allows you to get. I was told once if you work for someone else you are helping them reach their goals and dreams if you work for yourself and you call the shots you will reap the rewards!!

Nothing ventured, nothing gained. You will have plenty of what the heck did I get into moments. But, they are offset by the times you smile and realize that you would have it no other way!
