They had a driver survey about it not too long ago. Maybe they are thinking about some changes.

That would only stop the noise. It wouldn't stop the tattle-tale reports being sent back to your company.

I remember going into the SLC Prime yard and seeing half the lane departure cameras off the mount and stuffed up on the passenger sun visor.....I guess it wasnt toooo obvious. Me, I just put it back onto the mount with some white paper in front of the lens.

The shop just told me some guy put permanent marker on the lens. They charged him 744.00 for the camera. Mine was faulty and luckily under warranty. The stupid thing kept going off randomly while we drove. It was doing self checks repeatedly.

I just drive between the lines and turn it off through construction. I'm crazy like that I know. When I get that bothered by these devices, it's time to stop pretending to be an OO and buy my own truck.

I keep mine on as well. Flip it off during construction zones but it's also a good gauge of when I should pull over and take a short break or pull off for the night.

Doesn't matter where you drive if it's faulty. It just randomly goes off. I thought it was due to my riding the line it wasn't. The camera had crapped out and was just going haywire.
