The warehouse I delivered to in Otay Mesa had a security guard who barely spoke English and a yard guy who didn't speak any English. The yard guy initiated a conversation in Spanish and when he didn't get a response in Spanish, held up and showed me his phone that he typed on "Puerta 18". I know that puerta means door but at least you can learn that much to communicate with the English-speaking drivers.
