use the mozilla firefox browser. it does a scan. i beleive internet explorer and google also do now.

don't matter how protected you are though. nothing is foolproof. i gave up on norton and mcaffee years ago. specially when i found out there are other options that don't hog your resources. and are free. i did the msft thing. that was good for awhile. till i got whacked and a couple of friends. then i switched over to AVG. nothing is perfect, but avg the best i've found so far. tried the avast thing. didn't like it. and i had to install another program and restart the computer in safemode to get avast uninstalled. i like it on my phone. but won't use it on pc again.

i've had the best luck with avg. i don't even use a pop up or malware or whatever else. but i SHOULD look into those items also. i don't have a problem but one can never be too safe.

when it comes to the internet. i miss the 90's. where people could surf, and chat, and download, and not have a care in the world. don't know why people feel the need to make our lives miserable these days. i'm tired of all the security BS when it comes to my money and identification. can't access my accounts becuase i can't remember all the stupid passwords. can't access my email. my credit report. pretty soon. i won't be able to use facebook. password this and password that.

just being alive is making me crazy. LOL.

Snowwy, I don't spend days. I installed Windows 7 one time, updated it when it's supposed to, I've yet to touch it since, and I do a Hell of a lot more on the internet than you do.

I wouldn't recommend Firefox to anyone, its the least secure of all the browsers now. Chrome is most secure followed by the new internet explorer, and safari.

Don't believe me. Look at the link.
