Ah, the Spokane/Liberty Lake scales. I hate that place. I live in CDA and even when I've been home for a week and am rolling out empty, I won't cross those scales. I refuse to give up my time for the jack-booted thugs in training.

Yeah it is a fallacy about safety, some regs ... yep ... there is a safety reason for them ... but you are right, it is about keeping people working.

Enforcement comes from the state, no where else when it comes to a driver.

Some states don't train their people well while others look the other way when it comes to accountability - I know because I've spent well over $100k on defending myself and company on one issue where the cop was wrong but his word over others - including the fmcsa - was gold.

But this does not mean that the driver has no responsibility, they do, they need to learn how to say No! and mean it with the company and learn how to play this petty crappy game with the enforcers.

In THIS CASE the hos is there to protect the driver, the driver screwed up and I can't say it is all his fault but needs to learn how to play the paper game so next time his cheap ***** company has an eld failure, he comes out clean and the fault sits with the company and they get dinged.

If your logs are on Tulsa Time and you are delivering in Seattle, you still log the time as Tulsa time, you do not convert it to Seattle Time.

He went off his phone. It showed local time, instead of terminal time.

Pro tip: dot isnt doing you a favor by issuing a warning. Tell him you ####ed his sister earlier and lost track of time, hence the messed up logs. Then fight the tickets with a lawyer. Bring a clean log into court and claim he didnt know wtf he was talking about.

I had a level 3 over a year ago with a warning for left lane violation. Never showed up on my PSP.
