    So no one has seen any working ideas for the new styled 2018 crapcadia antenna mounting ideas......
    So far i have seen a fair # of the new style around but NOT ONE of them has an antenna on it let alone a cb...
    Even though there is a ton of bs on the radios most time i still rather have it and not use it than to not have it and need to use it..

    It's too bad there isn't a way for truckers using CBs to put pressure on new truck designers. I'll bet it would cost truck designers very little to pay a consultant to figure out a good antenna solution with each new truck design. A purist in the design department would not want his/her work to be violated by an ugly antenna sticking out somewhere, but it seems to me a good solution could be reached with the proper motivation from management. Instead, they leave it to the poor driver to figure out a good working solution. On the other hand, driver experimentation does make for interesting threads on CB forums relative to what solutions work best for the new truck designs..

    Dont know why the designers of trks leave that fact out..
    A cb has been a part of truckin sence day 1 pretty much....
    All they do know is a last minute "here throw this on it" type of idea....
    Basically it all boils down to saveings both $ and economy..

    It's a really late reply but the cb shops now have a bracket mount for the side mirrors on the newest cascadias.

    Yeah..got one..Not bad but I think I have a better idea....Take mirror off,make a copy of its shape(where it attaches to door)with bolt hole points and have it made of stainless steel..Rite where the front top bolt hole is(the area)have a Welded shaft coming off the side to mount an ant on..

    When i mounted mine it didnt come with bolts nor spacers..I just bought longer bolts and ss nuts..Used the nuts as spacers..I also had to file off the front corner of the mount itself cause it was hitting plastic just in front of the door..It made a slight ding......
    I gotta get my own bracket made or atleast started this week..

    I'be got a SS one that will fit up to the 2016 at least, that I would give somebody if they'll pay the shipping. Walmart called all the retirees and asked us if we wanted to come back.......I'm still retired!:D I sure don't need it.
