Must be the new math.
I cannot wait for a link to support such a ridiculous claim.
I have 13 hour driving on many logs for a 24 hour period. -
I meant in 11 hours before a 10 hour break, or a 8/2 split..... where did I post that? I cant find it now... Its been a long day
-
Wait a minute....... Since when did we have HOS?!?
-
Uh oh we got another rookie thats gonna explain why were wrong again.
lostNfound Thanks this. -
I don't know whats worse. The newbie trying to explain how were wrong or the old timer coming up with a phony name and posting such a stupid thread just to see what kinda answers they get.
Tazz and celticwolf Thank this. -
Wont have to worry bout me posting here anymore.

Technically speaking you can work as long as you want (city guys, LTL, food service). You just can't touch a truck after 14 hours. This means you can get back to terminal and your company can have you strip your trailer, clean the toilets, whatever they want. Just can't hop in a truck after 14. Restart, do it again. Lucky for me the company I now work at doesn't do this to me (like YRC Reddaway did).

Waiting till the last minute to park doesn't qualify you to use the 2 hour emergency extension.
It isn't impossible, but it is hard to drive 11 hours in a shift. You aren't guarenteed you're gonna find a parking spot on the nick of time, unless you illegally park on the shoulder. Most of the time, you're gonna have to cut those 11 hours short to find somewhere to park. Plus, you're gonna kill your 60/70 hour clock driving more than 10 hours a day. -
11 hours to get to a reciever and drop off a trailer. 2 hours of off duty driving to drive home.
