i like old iron mine was very very clean. I got many many compliments on her, the old girl was a real looker,She would spring a leaking during rain season. but still was as good as any new junk available today. I say if you have a old iron with mechanical amplitude and a good mechanic, your way ahead of the pack. Sometimes Junk is junk but I made money using old junk I complained about the looks the rust but at the end of the day i made a living,

if the layoff's continue, even up to a plant closing, uh yeah......they cannot survive with out sales, just like any other company.

you obviously DO NOT know the meaning of "skeleton crew"....you really should have looked it up first.

A skeleton crew is the minimum number of personnel needed to operate and maintain an item at its most simple operating requirements such as a ship or business, during an emergency and, at the same time, to keep vital functions operating.

yup, and the replacement gears and chains were all metal. (if you bought them from a parts store, i can't say if Ford sold the plastic as replacements, at the dealerships)
