Beware of this company.... They don' give a #### about their drivers, and if you leave they will give companys bad reviews, when called to check employeement.. I, worked there ova 11yrs, didn't cost them ####ers a penny in Accidents, always was their when didn't, and traveled around opening different sites.... They want you to work ova 60hrs, shuttling and driving, but don' show no appreciation.. They, claim they don't pay ova time, but I know of States that they does pay ova time..Its ran as if you was working on a PLANTATION..... BASICLY, THEY have two to keep the rest in line..Troy and Edward.... Worse thing I did in life was give them 11 yrs of my life....

If you read the online reviews it's 99% the same story about lazerspot.
snowlauncher, rabbiporkchop and DTP Thank this. -
That company is a notorious sweatshop and they’re always on pretty much every job site advertising for help. Never have read or heard one good thing about them
VIDEODROME, sevenmph, jethro712 and 2 others Thank this. -
Checked them out locally here...….local manager was decent......plenty
of work. They were starting to pay better because they couldn't keep
help. They were bringing in temp drivers from other states to keep up
with their accounts.
I don't think they were all bad......but.....I did see some red flags so I
did not go with them.
They expect 12 hour shifts.....shifts have to be covered.....if
replacement shows up late you will be asked to work extra hours till
a replacement shows up. They monitor you to the minute......punch in
not more than 5 minutes early or 5 minutes late......many drivers
are working 70 hours a week......5 12 hour shifts and 1 10 hour shift.
Nights and days are interchanged during the week.....making it very
difficult to get into a good sleep pattern. Same with weekends...…
basically you will be a slave to whatever location you work for.....and
any other locations short drivers. You will sign a document stating you
will be available for any shift/any time.
In all fairness.....a young man that doesn't mind working very hard
can make decent money.....paychecks don't bounce.....benefits are
decent......if you can find a location that fits for you?????? -
So it took you 11 years to find out they dont care about you?..
Trucking in Tennessee and DTP Thank this. -
With 11 years experience it should be easy to find a new job ova at a new company.
Trucking in Tennessee Thanks this. -
I think a while ago you were looking at both Spotter companies and Linehaul, but went with Linehaul. Did you come across any better alternatives to Lazerspot while job searching or are most of them like this?
-
The jobs I had found were all pretty similar in pay. $13.50-16 an hour, one was $18.50 but was only 40 hours a week and had horrible reviews online. Amazon of all people, owned by the world’s richest man, was the $13.50/hr one. The textbook definition of corporate greed
Spotting was a backup plan if I couldn’t get a linehaul gig, I just was looking to get out of living in a truck. Fortunately I got my wish...Lonesome and VIDEODROME Thank this. -
Hmm... I'm making 18.50 now, but I'm in a dirt lot yard with endless potholes and I feel like #### after bouncing around the yard a week.
For now, I'm looking into other options and studying for endorsements this weekend. Maybe I can find something else with reasonable home time.
