I've got lazy American for you, worked in a company that wa s bought out by a group back east when the owner died. There was plenty of people there that are your age gramps, been with the company 20 plus years. 1st thing that happened was all the MBA's, than cutting the labor force. Where people were forced to do the job 5-15 people used to do. We were harrased by the MBA's because their figures say we can be robots and cram so much work in so little time. If we werent perfect we got no pay increase for that year. I had a whole production team to support as a technician, about 10 technicians used to support this much load. I started at 3am each day and worked most weekends to keep my production floor going. I was in charge of ISO standards as the whole quality control department was axed.. I had a huge backload, I did engineering as we had little engineering resources available, all the engineers were busy on other projects. I participated on a multitude of teams and was still expected to get all my work done. I never received a raise, I couldnt get overtime.. it wasnt authorised, but I had to work until 6-7pm to keep my job and keep the MBA no nothing off my back. This is todays America, on time delivery regardless of the costs to the people and their families. I could barely feed and house mine at this time. Never recieved a raise as my productivity was horrid as to what the MBA figured it should be without knowing a thing about my job and the amount of work I had.. just based on product going out the door. This is the Japanese busness model .. Kaizen and all that great stuff to make investors big money. I am sure your idea of invading the US with some other kind of idealogy will help us tons. All those people with the company 20-30 years?? Pensions were frozen .. still are. They told me how busness was never that way 10 years before and further in the past in your time gramps. There in no lazy in busness today. People work way harder than anytime in the past. Do more with less, less tools, less people, less resources. Do it better and faster for less. With the cost of living today in every big city, the wage to cost is far less of a gap than it was in years past. Skilled jobs have been dumbed down by large busnesses in order to pay these far less than they used to. Lazy America .. not in my book.. less you want to count all those people on welfare.. if wages drop I will be there to. I can never afford less. I have always been one paycheck away from my family being on the street. Thats the way big buisness and the government like us.
This company also bought out NAPA auto, Crafstmen tools, Mac Tools, Fluke Corp. and a few other big name companies, using the huge name the companies have made for themselves, gutting them and running quality into the ground. I boycott them all.

OK I have been very SARCASTIC. Sorry if I offended any of you but I wanted to get your attention. But at the same time I'm gald I did offend you.

I started this thread to make a point and to get people talking and it worked. Lazy is what the ATA and government officials think of us as Americans that's why we have those Mexican Trucks running here and taking our loads. The ATA and BIG Trucking Companies would love to see more and more Mexican Trucks running here because they are paying those Mexican truckers alot less then you.

If we don't voice our opinions over what is happening in this country we just might have to get used to the new flag I've got posted in my signature, because if we keep allowing our rights to have work in this country to be given to foreigners then that's what will be flying in the next couple years. Both the Republican and Democrats would love to unite Mexico, Canada and the USA into one big happy family.

PS Don't bother to email me telling me I misspelled something or didn't use proper grammar, I don't care what you think. I only care about the future of this country and the future for my grandchildren. So keep your snide remarks and comments to yourself.
