While the liberal tree huggers do have something to do with that, they're not the sole problem. There's also the land owners who may have been sued by someone who wrecked their 4-wheeler and injured themselves while on their land. I've had problems with this when trying to go trail riding on horseback. This sue-happy world is pathetic. Lawyers and insurance companies have added just as much ruin to this country as any tree hugger or other hippie sort has.

No, lawyers and insurance companies are way worse than the tree huggers. I have more of my fair share in this state. The tree huggers at least have a purpose and have done some good. The lawyers have ruined everything. Kids playing tag at recess, gotta stop that someone can get hurt. Look at the crazy warning labels that are on items now, courtesy of the lawyers that will sue for everything. How about the cop who slipped on water when she tried to rescue a drowning victim, gotta sue for that, the parents should have wiped up the water before trying to resuscitate their child. Lawyers are the root of all evil. And yes I thought that long before an evil lawyer marched in my life and ruined me financially.

:yes2557: Yup, the lawyers are the problem with a lot of the restrictions that we face.

Just get in an accident around here thats not your fault and see how many letters you get from the ambulance chasers. I think that I got about 13 after my son was a passenger in a car that was T-boned.

All I wanted was the medical bills paid and his glasses replaced. But they were out for the big bucks!:biggrin_25510:

I managed to settle the whole thing myself. All medical bills were paid and payment for his glasses without a struggle. Its just a matter of being consistent and firm.

Maybe what trees u have in WY.. They want to protect.
Did they turn this in2 a State Park?
The next time im in WY, im hugging a tree, when I find it. I will take a pic of this tree and name it in your honor.. Rons Tree, :biggrin_2559:

but if this helps i grew up in the poconos, they banned tubeing in the river, now called the gorge. spent summers floating on trk tubes through 6 miles of river, then they changed it to state park, no ridding dirt bike, all kind of restrictions on camping, and floating on the river now required a raft and a guide, not to mention $50.. 2day its probably $200.. Its private bussiness now that control your fun..
they hired rangers, we would use pic ups, park 1 at the start and 1 at the end, going down these logging roads, i remember getting busted the 1 mornin, by a park ranger, even had a USMC hat on his head, I asked him if he was a Marine, after my ticket, he said yes, I said Marines fought for freedom, he didnt say a word.. i crumbled up ticket and threw it 2 ground.. He didnt do anything, we turned around and left.

I admit I'm a tree hugger, everytime I grab one to throw on the fire to heat my home. Or used to. Don't need them here, now.

Sure get off track on these threads, though.

From Lazy Americans to Lawyers. hmmmm, I see a connection.

It just seems like people try to stifle eachother out with their opinions, if they don't like what they hear, they'll speak loudly enough not to hear it anymore, and change the subject. Now I'm no tree hugger, but I beleive there is always more than just one way to look at a problem.

Some people only see what they want to see.
