ROTF, that's a good one. I like that pic. It's true as well...those suckers bring in BILLIONS and pay their people $6/hr and even try to make their customers ring their crap up themselves now! Sheesh. People THINK Wal-Mart is cheap and they are wrong on most things. I can save a LOT of money shopping on the net and go to Wal Mart to see the difference and Wal-Mart is HIGH. I save $40 or more on some things by getting it on the net instead of Wal-Mart. They have Americans fooled is all...they are GREAT at propaganda. And, you're right about lazy Americans...man you go into a restaurant, store, or anything now and people look PISSED that you want to buy something! They don't even want to move their FINGERS anymore! When this upcoming depression comes...this country is in deep crap due to most Americans' greed, selfishness, being spoiled brats, lazy, and on and on...

Nobody puts a gun to anyone's head and makes them shop or work at Wal Mart.

I personally prefer to shop at Target.

    But thanks for the kudos.

I personally don't find Wal-Mart's operations to be the most fair in the industry, and I don't think it's become what Sam wanted it to be. However, if one looked at the company with an honest perspective you would have to admit that they have accomplished one of the fundamentals that makes this country so great. I'm talking about capitalism here. They've capitalized their way to the top of the discount big box stores. Do I approve of their pay scales? Not particularly. I also don't like the fact that when Wal-Mart comes to a town, that community's small businesses suffer, especially in smaller communities. But, at the very least they have built a better mousetrap. As usual, once an entity makes it to the top of its game, people below are trying to take that entity down, while the entity is trying to pull the ladder up with them.

People hate success stories. At least some do anyway.

Walmart is always my LAST resort. Your right WiseOne, the days of good customer service/relations are GONE. Ever tried to return something to Walmart? Even with a receipt, they assume that you stole it.

I shop the net as well. :yes2557:

Success stories are fine. But, when you become THAT large of a company you really should have a feeling of responsibility to the people you rip. I mean hording BILLIONS of dollars from their high prices coming from poor/fooled people is not the right way, I don't think anyway. Yea, they sure have made a better mousetrap for sure. Now, they can rack up prices, people are so dumb they don't even know it and keep shopping there because they are brainwashed OR there are no other stores around due to Wal-Mart wiping them all out. A perfect monopoly in a LOT of towns. Shoot, Wal-Mart has HIGH prices, yet people look at the pretty little yellow ball walking around acting like it's dropping prices and go awwwww....let's go to Wal-Mart, LOL. I don't hate Wal-Mart, but I DO think they are extremely greedy and are NOT good stewards to society at all.

I prefer MEIJER Stores over WalMart anyday!

Target is ok for me but it's not my favorite, neither is KMart
