Are you talking about a 4-wheeler tailgating a 4-wheeler? Or a truck doing so?

Either is wrong. But a big truck tailgating a 4-wheeler is, without question, the most unprofessional driver behavior I've seen since I've been out here. Even if the driver of the 4-wheeler puts himself/herself in a position to get tailgated, it is our responsibility to back off....not try to make a point by running so close that stopping in time in an emergency braking situation is impossible.

I completely agree, truck is much worse. I misunderstood your original post, I thought you were talking about yourself being tailgated.

I have followed your journey from the start on TTR and learned so much from your threads.

Only problem with "whipping it out" is that the police see things a little differently than you or I or early Americans. Kinda sad, but technically, you aren't allowed to pee outside anymore in most cases, if someone has a chance of seeing it.

Nothing wrong with using a bottle either, if you are in a truck, there are no rest stops, and the only place to pull off possibly puts you in view of someone if you go outside. But, dumping it out into a wooded or grassy area at a truck stop is simple, as long as it's not where someone is sure to walk and NOT on the pavement! That stinks to high heaven in the heat!

I poured water in my gallon jug after emptying at a rest stop bathroom or in the woods/grass, then shook it up and poured that out too. I always bought those little toilet cakes and stuffed two or three in there. They usually lasted about two weeks. Fill the gallon jug up to about 1/3 and put the jug away in the passenger side tool door or under the bunk, then WASH YOUR HANDS.

Actually you have percolation. It's the ability to absorb moisture that the earth has. I don't think it gets back into the drinking water. BTW, if you drink out of the tap at your house from city water, that's really sick.

If your that concerned about saving water, why don't you buy one of them low flow toilets. Urinating in a bottle in your house IS disgusting and stupid. Is your water bill so high you cant afford it? Maybe you better sell the house.

Have one already. And I will be installing a urinal.

Your opinion is based on emotion. Is there any scientific evidence or religious doctirine you can cite to support your opinion.

I can easily afford municipal water. That is not the issue. I don't have access to municipal water. I have a well and the water table is low, very low. I would gladly pay for more water if someone could add water to the water table.

See, it's not about affording water. Soon, there may be no water available.

Why don't you just piss in the sink? You can rinse it down when you wash your hands - assuming you do that after pissing. That way you won't use ANY extra water.

I've seen drivers do that quite a few times. I always wonder if they know that they're really asking for a world of #$%# if that 4-wheeler ever has to jam the brakes.

Growing up in an area with many rowhomes, those houses usually only had one downstairs bathroom. All the bedrooms were upstairs. Everyone had "bedpans" to pee in. You just dumped it out in the morning. Sure, If you're a young guy you can run up and down the stairs all night to use the bathroom. When you're older that bedpan idea sounds better and better. If you think a bottle of pee is disgusting, can you imagine what an open pan of piss smells like sitting under your bed?

I betcha the first few people who put toilets INSIDE their houses (as opposed to using the normal "outhouse") were looked at like they were out of their minds.
