There are some springs shops can’t make. Some oems are tapered a certain way to soften the ride. Only the oe manufacturer makes them and that is the reason for the cost. Cheaper replacements are out there but 9 out of 10 times they are a standard “fits all” type spring and will not ride soft like the original tapered type.
I’ve run into this issue a lot over the years salvaging trucks. Frieghtliner is the worst for this but all the makes do it to.
Spring shops have had to make a helper spring from a dealer bought new spring by cutting it because Triangle or others don't make a replacement. Triangle is the best aftermarket but they don’t make certain oe spec.Rideandrepair, bowhunter67 and insanityeight Thank this. -

Where’d you get them for $250? I’d like to replace both of mine. I’d like to get them with original type rubber bushings already installed. If not,I’ll put the bushings in myself. 2000 Classic.
