Not an audible leak but produces bubbles when sprayed with soapy water. With the push fittings do I need to replace just the fitting and retrim the hose. Or just get a new fitting? Don't want to get bit in the ### by this in the future. Or can I keep the fitting and retrim the line
Leaking air at push fitting from tank.

Replace with a brass compression fitting instead of half brass / plastic quick connect.
baha Thanks this. -
I found that the way the fitting clamps the hose, it wears the plastic over time so that the hose becomes loose. You can first try just pulling out the hose and cut off about 1/4” and re-insert into fitting. Assuming you have enough hose.
If it doesn’t work, then change the fitting. -
There's a O-ring inside the fitting.
You can use a needle nose plier and pull the brass outer release ring out and use a metal L-hooked pick to take out the old O-ring.
Get a matching replacement O-ring, reinstall and reattach the airline.
There is no need to trim the air line as the leaking is caused by the O-ring getting dried out and hardening, causing the air line not to seal properly.uncleal13 Thanks this. -
The fitting will cost you 15 bucks. Get a pivoting one. If you want do do it on the cheap replace o ring. And trimming the line if possible wont hurt

Replace it with brass, don't screw around with plastic.
