Am I the only person that won't haul leaning packaging? Went to pickup today and the "square" bundles
were leaning pretty good and customer acted like something was wrong that I wnated packaging squared up.
Would you load this like it is? There were 15 of them, 3 were ok and the rest were leaning from 10-20 degrees.
would you load this and tarp it and go?

Leaning packaging is one very large step closer to load shift. Either they square it up, or it sits on their dock for the next nitwit to pick it up. End of story.

If it aint safe dont take it. It isnt their livelihood that is effected if your load spills and injures or possibly kills someone else.

Whoever is responsible for the packaging should be fired. They already have lumber on four sides. They could easily connect the dots and nail them all together. The only way you can haul that crap is on a log truck trailer. :)

Looks like an accident waiting for a happening, your broker ain't right, you are the master of your ship and responsible for what happens.

Warehouses all over have no clue or concept of packing, hauling, or loading trucks. Clorox loads on a dry van were always a gambit that they were not loaded right, ie heavy items on pallets stacked on top of a pallet of easily crushed merchandise and you didn't see the product until it was time to be unloaded.

    Better safe than sorry.

After it get squared up, that is also a load for some belly straps. Keeps the base tight as they stack more on top. We do a lot of PVC pipe like this. And most of the loaders, for myself anyways, know when and where it needs them. Guess it's been lucky in that way!
