Just an interesting tidbit..chains at TA in kansas $99 per bag..chains at pilot nebraska $129 per bag.
Is 7 bags of single chains going to cover me?

I had to locate a spot to park for the night, didn't have enough time left on my clock.

 

3 railers or double row are a chain that covers both tires (duals) on one side of an axle. Not generally used a lot except for single-axle tractors and maybe in Canada and that way. They are required for single axle trucks when max chains are required, otherwise for a tandem axle tractor, 4 single chains on the outer drive tires will work. As far as having a spare [set] that's personal choice but not necessary as far as I know.

 

I learned to stay out of states that require them a very long time ago..

My company is fighting me on this,wants to send me through oregon and washington with 3 bags...

 

What's in a bag? Singles? A set? Three rails? The bags don't matter, the chains matter.

 

You can haul that cheap garbage out west if like, you're welcome...

Company driver, so I don't know the rates, but I'm making good money and I'm guessing the company is making even better money.
