Get one of those green logbook rulers. Those little bracket things come in handy. Mine is so well used the numbers are almost gone. Was planning to buy a new one but they put me on elogs now so I've retired my logbook to storage.

Start logging your daily life while searching for another job. Remember the flags and the little logbook ruler, get it at a truckstop. It will be second nature in a few days.
The trick is to log it as you do it..... Until you get it, then log it as you want them to think you did it. Another truck is to keep all receipts locked up in a briefcase, not laying around on the dash.samton Thanks this. -

Keep it neat and you'll get less looks from dot than the guy who scribbles like a 5 y/o. Make sure you have at least 15min for pre/post. Don't blatantly run outlaw, little fudge here and there is fine but don't make it a habit, if your caught your company is throwing you to the wolves
