bowmeyer,
Back when I started out in this game, we learned how to log by talking to experienced drivers, but right or wrong info was hit or miss, and the feds were not as anal audit wise as they seem to be today. Lucky for you, there is the internet, and you can get the skinny straight from the government website
This link details logging. I know it's probably a little overwelming at first, but if you can grasp at least some of it, it outta help, at least I hope.

Back to the serious side again, there are two violations in the above logbook - not counting the misspellings.
It's a comic book type deal, obviously. But there are two obvious mistakes (again, not counting the misspellings of towns) -
Well, no day has more than 24 hours in it for one.

. Oh, and you must write with your feet! Seriously though, I think the smiley face in the "10" on line 4 will win over the heart of many DOT inspectors

Kidding aside, thanks for the lesson and laugh. Cheers. -

I wasn't ever much a fan of their pizza, I preferred Edwardo's, though there wasn't too many of them around. Cousin's subs is what made up my regular diet! I was born in Portage but moved out of state while pretty young. I think I've moved back to WI about 4 times over the years. Lived in Brookfield, Racine, Milwaukee, and Delafield. My daughter still lives in the state. Going to Badger games was always a great way to spend a weekend in Madison. I'm carrying on, I guess I miss living there. It's a great state!

What year did you graduate? I graduated in '85. We had a small family owned restaurant in Baraboo.
