Why not stayed overnight there two weeks ago no problems. Stay in the Bronx, Brooklyn any where that fits my needs at the time.

hehe if staying in the Bronx i usually stay in the fish market, but i believe on refusing a load if you are not comfortable, i refuse loads to massachusets all the time but i love me a long island or a nyc anyday of the week!!

Going to the Bronx and sleeping with the fishes, just doesn't sound like a good idea.

with that extra time you have at the crappy shippers/receivers maybe you can finally clean the floor up in your truck

Seriously? This guy is more then a little goofy! In my opinion this guy really thinks he's the cherry on top of the cake. My guess is that he hasn't been driving for very long either. If he's gonna rule out going to any shipper or receiver because they held him up for 5 hours, then this guys list of "acceptable loads" is gonna be very short in no time. If I refused to go to shippers and receivers that held me up at one point,or another I would be One broke truck driver! This guy is a FMs nightmare.
His delusion of being an owner op is just that a delusion. Don't get me wrong, you people who do the lease purchases if that program works for you then great, good for you for finding your nitch. But your not an,owner op until you pay that truck off and hold the tittle. The difference between a bank and a trucking company holding the tittle is a bank doesn't care where you lease your truck on. If the TC is holding that tittle that truck is gonna stay put and run that company's freight. Tick you FM off and he or she can, make it pretty tuff to make your payments.
If your a new driver don't listen to this guy. Whatever he says, do the opposite. This is not the right attitude for this industry.
