I am only critical of the fleece because I believe it is bad for beginning solo drivers who usually fall for the fleece. -And it's getting way more popular with companies to lock a driver into a low wage. The schooling game is the other way, but at 1-2yrs you can usually make that and be off the hook.
If you have been in this game for any amount of time it's really your own #### fault if your fleece fails. People have been warned enough.

I just believe it takes doing your homework when you want to become an owner operator. I always believe go talk to the person who has what you want the dealership. If you find out what you have to do to get your truck you will be in a better position I believe and you can draw up a plan as to when you will be ready.
I thought it through and if I can pay a company $800 a week to maintain a truck and I dont have any control over it. I just couldnt put myself in that position and considering I could save a few dollars a week and in a year have my own with freedom and have control over it. That is the best way for me. I just was looking bat the whole situation of leasing and the amount of money you are putting out just was not good for me.
We are different and different situations but I just believe in having financial freedom and being able to go and leave when I want to. Plus I get to leave with what is mine. -
I have been researching becoming an O/O for several yrs. I have looked at the lease options and yet to find one that would work for me. These are mainly setup for newer drivers who have a misconception of what it means to be an O/O. Most of the fleecers have little experience driving and think this will " give them control" over what they do. HA! This just gives the company a full contract giving them control over you even more cause now you are locked in before you were a company driver and could walk away at anytime. Not Now. I'm sure that there are a few good ones out there i have heard and read some good things about JCT for instance but even that one would not work i n my opinion for what i want to make. I have decided that when i have saved enough money to pay cash for the truck of my choosing and still have 10-20k in the bank to fall back on i am going to buy my own truck but not until then. I have been looking and you can buy one hell of a truck for 25-30k nowadays. Anyway my $.02

One thing I like about CRE: On the back of the trailers they say "Live by the lease, die by the lease" -and they are being brutally honest when they say that.
=It's either sink or swim (too bad most sink!), but there always are more fleecers to take over or even T-fleecers (team fleecers) now. -
Sink or swim? It's more like drift aimlessly or sink. Neither of which are very desirable options. LOL -
i passed one of those cre fleasers today. back of the trailer said
LEASE
TRAIN
DRIVE
that is probably the order cre want's it to happen too stick you with a lease b4 you even have a cdl -
if i could lease it would be jct
