Heyy me too lol
Just went through "lovely" Atlanta with a bunch of rain. Loads been ready for a couple hours but I'm just taking my time, going to grab some bfast at huddle house and a shower. -
Got unloaded pretty quick in Sherman also got a choice of 3 loads real quick. Was kind of worried because It was 1100 and I only have 980 miles for the week.
Ardmore to Monee,IL ready at midnight, probably before that and del sun am. 1000 miles w/deadhead
Lawton to Lockburne,OH. ready now del mon am 1170 miles w/deadhead
Lawton to Dekalb,IL ready now del by Sat 0800 1005 miles w/deadhead
Took the Dekalb load because I can get it there Fri evening and hope to catch a good load out of that area for the weekend and maybe finish with a real good week.Made it to Joplin tonight and have 560 miles to run tommorow. -
I hope I get a load offer that good tomorrow when I get empty in Sherman.
-
Hope you do too. With the offer they sent me,it look's like they might be a little short on trucks in the Dallas area.Good Luck.
-
No such luck. Got an offer of 3 loads and they were crap, crap and crap. Took one going to Ottawa,Ks for tomorrow. Hope I get another load this weekend.
-
I'm sure you'll get a nice one tomorrow.

I have read this thread from start to finish, and let me say it is very useful information. The only questions I have is that there seems to be a difference in pay between haz-mat and not, what is the difference? And I don't see where anyone is going home, do u guys go home? I live in southern Missouri about 1 hour east of Springfield and am curious to know about freight lanes and home time thru that area. All your responses will be greatly appreciated and will help me confirm my thought process for applying to ACT. Thanks
-
Hazmat = $1/loaded mile; non-hazmat =$0.94/loaded mile. All empty miles are $0.90/mile. I've seen hubby more in the last 5 weeks than I'd seen him in the last 3 months at his previous employer. And he'll be home in 10 days for our daughter's 18th birthday. I may go see him tomorrow when he comes thru the state or he may come home for his 10. Totally up to us, as we are paying for the fuel. We live in north central OK and he goes through here enough that we can, if nothing else, eat dinner together at least every 10 days. He's had one "official" hometime in the 5 weeks he's been w/ ACT. We're happy. That's what matters to us.
