I think your numbers are pretty inflated, Terry.
Since the mileage pay cut, I've been having a hell of a time just bringing in 1000 a week after fuel, and deductions. Of course, I've not paid off my securement yet.
I'm thinking it's the bad luck thing you mentioned. I seem to get about two good weeks in a row, then one really bad one. I've profited every single week thus far, but this week will be the closest, if I take anything home. My lowest check so far has been $143.00.
I have for the most part learned where the freight is, and I deliver as early as I can each time.
This company seems to think dispatching OD loads on the weekend is a great idea. I think it's 50-50. You get to reset your logs, but end up staring at a truck stop someplace.
I don't think I'm doing anything wrong, I'm not an idiot, but I don't think it's me.![]()

He's probably training and on a dedicated run, the training cuts cost and increases income and the dedicated runs make the freight constant. I know several L/Os that make a lot more than $120,000, but they are all trainers on dedicated routes and pulling refers. Most of them run coast to coast, also.

ytd earnings at six months, $82,240.55. I pay, approx. 1/2 in expenses. A rough estimate is a little over $1,700.00 each week. This does not include my qtrly taxes, nor does it include payments to my various accounts. They are close to offsetting each other. So far, I have not turned in any expenses, so I am over paying taxes and expect to get a substantial refund.
So, am I exagerating? I think not! -
You are are lease truck or o/o company driver?
Company driver I don't think you will make 120 unless you are running wind div.
Lease or o/o, yes 120 is an ok figure for regular freight. -
He's lease. I am going to go to Anderson as soon as i finish up some things at home.

He said the driver was classified as a 1A.
If I remember correctly that is the highest classification they have for OD at the company. (correct me if I am wrong)
It also suggests that it would be the largest freight, which would be windmills.
I know for a fact that those pay very very well. A pain to haul, but worth the time.
I have hauled center pin shafts for those many times and we charged almost 4.00 a mile. (I was paid at 20% at that company so close to 1.00 a mile as a company driver on it) -

Center pin shaft? Do you mean mid section?
Yes class 1a is the highest you can go at ATS.
But 120k this year I'm not sure about.
Maybe the guys running the 19 axle, But wind has been real slow this year. -
Terry is not on wind=yet. he is working his way up the ladder. I think he said he was just getting into over dimensional but not the huge stuff.
