Get some experience. 5 years minimum first. I went back to company driving 8 years ago. No worries and still make great money. I had a brand new 2016 Cascadia waiting for me Christmas eve at the terminal. Move into it tomorrow. They put on a new chrome cattle catcher to save the front end too.

There are also many Youtube vloggers that did the lease thing and quit after not making any money. The Little Guy Trucker is one of them.

Yeah I seen one for transam and one for someone else I just trying to figure out why they were doing it I noticed some were just trying to recruit then like 5 months later they end up quitting I would say that was prbly most of what happened

Also seems that all these otr companies or starter companies are a joke I'm used to working in the oilfield worked for a big company had brand new Peres and kws and they supplied fridges and cbs and all the good stuff I understand most these places don't and I get it but most drivers ain't making #### starting out and don't have anything to buy all this crap that's just my opinion why don't these companies give u one when ur done turn it back in if u don't deduct it from ur check simple as that

Because that would make way too much sense, and there is NO ROOM FOR THAT IN TRUCKING ANYMORE!!!

I hear that some of these big OTR companies won't even ALLOW the drivers to have a CB nowadays. I guess they figure it is too much of a distraction. Really says a lot about the quality of drivers they hire, if you ask me.

If ya can post a video on this thread so we can see if it looks like recruiting.nothing in this industry surprises me.companies are going to try every avenue humanly possible to get the drivers and to make money..when companies are trying to sell their lease programs they re not thinken of the driver making money but how the driver can make a nice profit for them while the driver is left out in the cold.I certainly wouldn't lease especially with a starter company without talking to an owner operator who has a lot of exp.you don't wanna listen to anyone who is trying real hard to recruit because really they could care less.

Someone of them come outright and ask you to put them down as a referral, while others don't and even go to great lengths to hide who it is they work for.

I don't think either approach is wrong, but you do have to be mindful of the ones painting too rosy of a picture as they could just be in it for the money.
