What kind of a silly thread is this?
For once I gotta give credit to Swift drivers due to them blasting the OP.
Why is $1000-$3000 options even there?
Even the worst paying lease will pay you a dollar a mile, plus running a "team"... c'mon man those are ridiculous numbers.
And secondly anybody that's ever ran a business should know what you gross doesn't matter, it's what's left over that does.
What a company driver "grosses" and what a lease driver "grosses" is two completely different things. -
Pay is very subjective, gross can be misleading when one guy has a $600 lease and another $800, and what about mpg? You may make more or pay less but then more in fuel. Taxes come into it, you could gross over 6 figures, but what do you spend every day and what do you pay taxes on? Leasing and mentoring makes it more complicated you make more as a mentor (although you should only mentor if you're a good teacher) But you lose on the lease on miles over 11,000. Are you trying to figure out if it is economically feasible? Have you read that you can only make money on a lease if you mentor? People can be very hush hush on what they make and probably won't share. But maybe you should be more direct with your question to get the answer you need.

So if I may.. what can a swift l/p take home after all expenses including fuel and taxes A second truck ? What is the attraction ?

whipper ... don't go picking on our newbies ... we'll guide him to the light whether he wants to go there or not ... he hasn't figured out yet that he doesn't know, what he doesn't know.

Are they ridiculous numbers whipper? I have no idea what Steve makes gross, although I guess I could figure it out from an ATBS sheets, but I do know what he gives me each week and it fits within the poll. Although he is just a L/P not a mentor, and things have been slower lately. Maybe it's Swift shifting better loads to company guys maybe it's this weird transition from DM's to Planners, who knows....

I'm all for sharing and helping info and I'm sure you are mostly are too. -

Aw, guys, give OP a break. I'm willing to bet none of us took "Creating Surveys 101" while working to get our CDLs.
At least he's willing and eager to learn...unlike a lot of the walruses we see basking in terminals/truckstops. -
