The vast majority of fleece purchases are nothing more than a modern day form of share cropping. I would love to see companies step up and pay drivers their worth instead of finding new and creative ways to pick their pockets or brain washing the drivers into thinking they are owner operators while nickle and dimeing their checks. It makes me sad to see the industry treating a lot of these drivers like modern day coolies.

I have to agree most of the lease purchase deals are scams, with a few exceptions. Schnieder is one, but not the only good one. I paid my truck off a couple months ago but have seen a lot of guys fail at the company I'm leased to. A good L/P deal is hard to find, but you also have to know how to run a profitable truck.

If you paid drivers what they're worth, too many are already being overpaid.

I've read alot of BS on here about L/P.... In June, not only am I going to lease, I'm going to start a thread and show how it can be successful with no money in your pocket or your bank account other then your last company paycheck......

Naysayers stay tuned to be proven VERY incorrect.

Oh, and no I'm not broke, just bored and enjoy social experiments.

Until June.... Maybe early July as ill be out of the country till the middle of June ;-)

I posted this earlier . My lease purchase with A and A . Before I bought my own ride . It works because the rates are set with a lot of longtime customers so company and owner operators pull the same rated freight .

Do you have a 'total cost of the truck before it's yours'. I have seen a breakdown of someone's lease one here and their Freightliner would cost them 242K at the end of their lease.

Explanation is simple..... I never said "I" didn't have money in my pocket or my bank account.

I simply stated that I was going to show how it could be done with no money in your pocket or your bank account.

I'm ONLY going to use my last company paycheck. Whatever that amount might be. (Not pull from my personal account and only use my business account which will start with the amount of my last paycheck. Whatever that may be)

I was simply going to show someone who may be discouraged by a lot of these threads stating you need "X" dollars to start, you better have "X" capital to invest or you'll fail, all leases are BS, ..... Threads or posts like those.

With discipline, common sense, a decent knowledge of trucking and with little to no money, it can be done and can be financially rewarding.

I'm just tired of (as a co-worker put it) West Coast Divas naysaying and discouraging those who honestly are looking to advance themselves.

The uneducated are looking to the educated for advice and when all they hear is negativity, it's discouraging.

I'm just going to give them a very positive perception of what they "could" do with nothing more then some intelligence and a $0 down L/P opportunity.

It's the way I did it, second business I started that way. It's a tough road but I am proof it can be done
