cape, I do know that with some of darts program you can take the truck elsewhere. I have talked to several dart guys that have leased on to mercer in Louisville. they come over with the dart signs still on and one I talked to had to go over and get the peoplenet taken out in Jeffersonville,in at darts yard after he leased to mercer. that is a point in dart's favor

Im an O/O with ATS, well former I quit yesterday. The guys I talked to here doing lease are a mix. 20% happy, 80% wish they never did it. The first year of the lease is simply that, a lease. You dont make any progress towards purchase. You take what trucks are available, not what you want. Guys make 600-1400 a week. No consistency. Most freight here pays 1.40 to 1.60 per mile. Not the 2.08 they promise you. ATS takes a cut of everything! I caught them lying on tarp pay. I tarped a load and the foreman an I were talking, I did a good tarp job, was tight and pretty. He said well that why we paid $600 for a tarp fee. I was only getting$150 when im supposed to get 100%. They said it was a c.s. Error.

Ive haf four loads in 45 days pulled out from under me. They put the same load into the system twice under a different delivery address. These loads paid very good. When I got there with an incorrect addreds I didnt get a load and was not compensated by ATS for my time.

ATS owns the leasing company and the dealerships that they buy thier trucks from. They profit twice before you turn the key. The load boads are first in first out. They are cluttered and usually you sit a day unless you take a junk load that everyone else passed by. They count on lease guys to take the junk loads because you have a weekly payment to make. Im not saying dint do it but I wouldnt. They will use the word "potential" like currency there. I wouldnt do it there.
