Then you should have read my initial response instead of getting snippy, it's chock full of information. If you read through all 4 of the threads I linked you'll learn the pitfalls and identify strategies to successfully owning a truck.

I think you misunderstood me. Your lease your payments come out every week, right out if your settlement before it even hits your bank account. At least if you buy, you manage your money for your monthly payment. Leasing from a company is a weekly payment, and more often than not, it's a lot more money to lease from a company. So yeah it is about money management for sure, but I'm just saying if a driver doesn't work, the company will still hit him up, and post a negative settlement versus buying out right and you having more control.

I'm sorry you had to endure that type if disrespect man. I don't get the vibe that OP really wants to learn the business but only looking for validation to what appears to be an already made up mind.

When I get responses like his (both here and in the real world with trainees) I think back to when I was a 21 year old student teacher. I was always trying to explain myself and not listening to the advice that was being given. It made my student teaching experience very hard and instead of arguing I wish I could have asked "what's a better way to do this?". But I was headstrong and my cooperating teacher was a small minded, closet racist who didn't know that Stalingrad and Leningrad were two different cities, or that using Abrams tanks in cities as police vehicles was a bad idea, or that the Continental Congress requested local governments to issue their own declarations of independence, couldn't operate any technology, and was generally isolated by his peers but beloved by admin, so I wasted 6 months of my time when I could have been trying to pump the ignorant, racist ####### for every viable tip I could get.

We all learn. Some times by example, some times by experience, but in the end we all learn.

You're right about that. I was in that same boat at age 21. You think you're invincible and know everything. Can't nobody tell you nothing. Some people don't grow out of that mindframe though. Many folks are so set in their ways, that they will accomplish what they wanna how they wanna, or die trying. I totally agree that it's good to try to learn from everyone, even if their philosophy is different.

    Thinks it’s a great idea!
Sure you may not get rich at first…but you’ll have more time to relax than a company driver. I always see the guys hanging out in the fuel island never in a big hurry.
I could only assume though…me I’m local so I’m always in a big hurry

Find me a good deal that is available.
    There are none.
That's why prices keep going higher and higher.
