I am a successful graduate of the Schneider lease program. Now, I'm just making monthly payments.

You should handle your money by percentages, that way when you have problems there's already money set aside to handle without killing the pad.
If there was issues they let your friend know about and he did not want them repaired they could have cause failure of other things, not repaired so not covered.
Same with customer supplied parts, some times using the parts you already have ends up being more costly than buying them from your mechanic.
As with all 3rd party posts we can only make assumptions and guess's.

I think most maintenance issues are caused by the driver, or the shop not listening to the driver regarding failures. I think 900,000+ is totally a reasonable expectation. I drive for Alan Richie On Call, and I have not been in any of there trucks with less than that mileage wise, never had an issue with one yet.

And that's it. It's a business. Everyone wants the O/O money, but they don't want to fulfill the obligations that come with it.

It's by no means viable for everyone. That's one of the real kickers. Companies will offer it to anyone, but most people have not the slightest clue what it involves. If someone makes $90K and spends $89.9K then they're a f idiot, and shouldn't be doing this.

People are giving people the chance to become an O/O. Then they wanna treat it like they're company drivers, it blows up in their face, then the world is all evil.

    It's a lot of effort.

Dunno where your getting your truck worked on, but I was told $12K actually. And no one is gloating.

I is a Christian man. And The Bible tells us to boast only of our weakness. My weakness is I like what I do. It's all I do. And I can show anyone how to do it.

I keep $20K just on my comdata card in case of problema. Dealers don't want credit cards for big repairs, they want cash. I'm sure since you're all knowing about these kind of things, you knew that already.

I do appreciate your concern for me and my guys and their trucks though.

Well your mechanic’s and my idea of a Inframe are obviously different.....

Add a head ,a cam or two and a turbo.......:)

P.S. how’s that dpf ? maybe that needs replacing too.... because it was full of engine oil from the failure......

    P.P.S.S. Carry on.......

Ahhhhh. I've mentioned this many times throughout this site. If someone doesn't do the same thing an esteemed member does, it's wrong or doomed to fail.

    Again your concern is appreciated.

Dave, i hope you are paying your drivers on W2 and not 1099. Many small fleet owners have been put out of business for misclassification using 1099. I think you are very lucky compared to me in purchasing good trucks.

No they are 1099, and there are no misclassifications or understandings.

    And yes, it's all luck.
