    Dave,
Give Casper a pat on the fender for me, and tell him not to believe everything you tell the rest of us riff raff. I heard a rumor he was starting to feel just a little bit jittery.

Oops, should have put this in Landstar Questions, but what the hey. :)

I commend you on your trucking business. I am just getting started and looking into doing a lease purchase. Can you recommend a company?

Just getting started. If you mean with no experience, I highly recommend you just be a company driver for a year, even two.

If you have to ask that question, you don't have the skill set to run your own business.

I don't think it's that. But trying to do a lease / purchase right out of the box on a brand new truck with a HUGE payment, and an $78K buyout at the end is nuts.

Plus you don't want to lease where there are company drivers to compete with. You want someone or someplace that is all O/O.

John Christner, Steven's Transport, and CR England are the top 3 lease companies in the industry. Lots of money to be made.

My CM871 is at 975k with nothing but PMs. I have replaced the turbo twice, the charge air cooler, the starter, and the alternator twice, but all of those things are accessories to the engine and not the actual engine itself. I am extremely happy with my Cummins. It has paid for itself many times over.
